Forgive me if I take some liberty, but I feel it is important to recognize a man that during the 70’s put Bonnieville on the map. Apart from my parents and grandparents, Randall Skaggs (left), had more impact on my life than anyone else.

  While leading the Bombers to multiple state championships, he along with my father Larry Cook and Mike Srygler, took the time to coach a peanut league team that had the honor of carrying the legendary Bombers name, “Bonnieville Jr. Bombers”.

   Those days spent on our field of dreams behind Bonnieville School will forever be a part of who I am. We were taught the fundamentals of baseball as well as life, that winning was achieved through hard work, practice, dedication, and team work. Knowing your options and seeing yourself making the play before the ball was every hit was what was expected from 6 & 7 year old boys, who were never told that anything was impossible.

  Randall is currently awaiting a heart transplant. I would like for him to know how much he will always mean to that six year old boy that is now 47 and that with God nothing is impossible.

  Stumbled on your website and was pleasantly surprised and gratified. My name is Bob Spencer and for several years competed against the Bombers. They were a very good team, fundamentally very sound, you had to beat them they were not going to beat themselves. I know whereof I speak; I pitched for nine state champions. Additionally, I am Secretary for the Kentucky Softball Hall of Fame and I don't know if you know it or not, but Randall was inducted in 1983. Keep up the good work, regards, Bob Spencer.
